Mary's Princess and Popsicle Party!

Mary's 5th Birthday was a very special time for Princess Mary and her friends! She wanted to have a Princess and Popsicle Party and have Elsa make an appearance! The little girls dressed in their favorite princess attire and got their nails done in the play room by Bebe - such a treat for them and for Bebe whose first princess is Mary. Then, there was a knock on the door. It was ELSA! Mary ran to greet her and all the little princesses surrounded her. She could hardly get in the door! Oh, she was so spectacular. She visited with them and read them a story and then sang "let it go" with them as they acted out the motions and built their own ice castles. Before Elsa departed, she led the group in singing "happy birthday" to Mary and Mary was elated. Then the enchanting Elsa talked with Mary about what it means to be a true princess - to have love in your heart - and she hugged Mary tight before departing back to Arendelle. Mary chased her down the yard with a popsicle and gave Elsa her favorite flavor for the long trip home. Wow, she was fabulous!

After that,we all had the frozen cake that Mary picked out. It included Anna, Elsa, Olaf, an ice castle and a light up snow flake!  The wind picked up in the yard and a little chill filled the air as we ate - the little girls knew it was because Elsa had been here. Then they ran to the bounce house and forgot about being chilly and had a blast jumping. John stayed in the background with Daddy in his turtle costume. He didn't know quite what to think of the princesses, but managed to get two popsicles and was pretty happy.

A very magical day for our little Mary! Before going to bed we read1 Peter 2:9 "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light," and talked about how we are royal princesses because of Jesus. It was a special day for our first day of spring princess and we thank God for her!
